What is it?
Monday’s sunrise (see here and here) made me stop during my drive to work. As I made my way down the boardwalk to the observation deck (at Paynes Prairie), it seemed that the ground was covered with snow. I’m in Florida, so it can’t be snow! But, what is it? I looked closer, zoomed my camera and looked again… A web?
Here are the photos – take a look. What do you think?
Very cool and weird – I’ll be interested to see if you get an answer to this!
Very weird indeed!
Is it insects at work?
Possibly… but you’d be talking a LOT of insects. It’s a huge field covered in that stuff. Kind of scary!
Could this be a clue.. http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-2111390/Australia-floods-Spiders-cover-fields-cobwebs-flee-rising-water.html
Wow! It seems very similar to what I saw. Thank you!
I do think its a web. saw something like this online quite awhile ago.
That’s the only thing that makes sense… but it’s very strange! Thanks 🙂
That is a lot of webbing! We had a drought this summer and there were lots of spider webs on our lawn . .but nothing quite like this!
All I can say is that I’m glad I saw the web and not the spiders 😧
